Hapy Black History Month!

CHATTANOOGA, TN - This Black History Month, Chattanooga had the honor of celebrating one of its own, Juanita Brown Ingram, known globally as Mrs. Universe 22/23, at the prestigious Black Excellence Chattanooga (BEC) Awards. The city buzzed with excitement as Ingram, a Brainerd High School alumna and now a beacon of inspiration worldwide, returned home from Singapore to partake in the celebrations this past Saturday night.

Ingram's visit wasn't just a homecoming; it was a historic moment. She has not only put Chattanooga on the map by being the first black woman ever to be crowned Mrs. Universe, but she also continues to inspire with her actions and words. Her recent recognition with the Legend Award at the BEC Awards underscores her remarkable contributions and the powerful impact of her work.


The BEC Awards ceremony was more than an event; it was a gathering of community, excellence, and shared joy. Ingram, surrounded by the Dress for Success Chattanooga family, board members, and the broader community, expressed her gratitude for the award. "A heartfelt thank you to Chattanooga Business Elite for this prestigious acknowledgment," she shared, highlighting the significance of celebrating these achievements in her hometown.
