CHATTANOOGA, TN - This Black History Month, Chattanooga had the honor of celebrating one of its own, Juanita Brown Ingram, known globally as Mrs. Universe 22/23, at the prestigious Black Excellence Chattanooga (BEC) Awards. The city buzzed with excitement as Ingram, a Brainerd High School alumna and now a beacon of inspiration worldwide, returned home from Singapore to partake in the celebrations this past Saturday night.
Ingram's visit wasn't just a homecoming; it was a historic moment. She has not only put Chattanooga on the map by being the first black woman ever to be crowned Mrs. Universe, but she also continues to inspire with her actions and words.
